Mr. POON Sen Kin, Mr. CHAN Yat Shing and Mr. TSANG Ka Chi

The Panel Head of Citizenship and Social Development, Mr. POON Sen Kin has received the award of Educational Research Award Scheme 2022/23 organized by The Committee on Professional Development of Teachers and Principals (COTAP) under the Education Bureau with his team members, Mr. CHAN Yat Shing and Mr. TSANG Ka Chi. Mr. POON has adopted the approaches of “diversified strategies, organic integration, natural connection, mutual coordination, learning within and beyond the classroom”, to lead his team members to implement a series of innovative teaching methodologies. Starting from last academic year, they wrote a research paper regarding the effectiveness of new flipped classroom in enhancing non-Chinese speaking (NCS) students’ motivation in self-autonomous learning so as to encourage teachers to try out, improve and share new or effective pedagogical practices through educational research; further enhance teachers' professionalism and facilitate the learning and teaching effectiveness of CS subject. The research report received a compliment from the judging panels.
